Got this question from a reader this week: "How soon will I see results after advertising?"

Fair question, and the honest answer is there's no single answer, because it depends on your brand, not just the ad. A business with an existing online presence, an engaged audience, some social proof already out there, starts with a head start. A brand new pixel and a cold audience is starting from zero, and that changes the timeline.

In my experience with clients, here's roughly how it plays out:

The first 2 weeks are about getting signal. The pixel is fresh, so Meta is still figuring out who responds to your brand at all. This stage is warm-up, not a performance review, resist judging anything yet.

The first month is testing. You're finding out which creatives actually work, and some will flop. That's expected, not a sign to panic or pull the plug early.

After month 3, things typically start to stabilize. This is usually when you have enough data and enough proven creative to scale spend with real confidence instead of guessing.

Budget size shifts this timeline too, a bigger daily spend moves you through each stage faster than a smaller one.

Try it: instead of judging results day by day, map out your own 3 checkpoints before you launch, week 2 (is it getting signal), month 1 (which creative is winning), month 3 (ready to scale). Don't make a kill-or-scale decision before the checkpoint it belongs to.
